Tehidy country park - The largest woodland in west Cornwall.

Good morning. We hope you are all well, and are having a lovely week!

Today’s post is all about Tehidy woods. Tehidy woods is located in Illogan, a village in west Cornwall. It is a managed country park with over 9 miles of paths altogether, and 250 acres of woodland stretching from the urban Camborne, Pool, Illogan and Redruth conurbation, to the costal North Cliffs. This peaceful site offers an picturesque environment, rich with historical interest and several habitats where you will often find ducks, squirrels, swans, butterflies, and all sorts of other animals who call Tehidy their home.

At the south side of the woods, there is a small cafe which offer delicious breakfast and lunch options, cream teas, cakes, and a selection of hot and cold drinks. The cafe uses all local produce for their food and drink. There are also plenty of bench areas dotted around for breaks, or a mid walk picnic.

If you enjoy nature and land walks, Tehidy Country Park makes a perfect day out all year round, but especially during the late summer/early autumn.
